We have a CERAMIC MALLARD (a duck. "Why a duck", you ask? "Who knows" I answer.) It's hollow and quite small. There are two holes in the bottom--probably to allow expanding air to escape during it's firing when it was first made. Our son, Chris, discovered when he was really young that if he closed off one of the two holes and blew across the other hole, he could play the exact tune you're thinking of. That just goes to show ya the strange journeys that our folksongs can make! This must be where that guy Morricone stole the melody from---That's worse than anything Dylan ever did...
