I'm searching, and hoping some other Canadians might be able to help. Will Penney, former band member of A Fine Crowd, was saying that when he was a young fellow in junior high or high school, he did a project for his teacher on Dangerous Dan. The object was to come up with the reason for the shooting.

Being the person Will is, he came up with his project in verse form. Keeping to the same general scheme of the original, he explained why Dangerous Dan got himself shot.

It so impressed the teacher that the piece got put into some Canadian Reader.

What I'm trying to get now is the explanation as printed in this Reader.

I'm so far out of the school system loop, I'm hoping that someone knows of this, and can post it, or send it to me somehow.
