when I recorded this for Folk Legacy I used this sequence:

G The years creep slowly by Lo C rena
the d snow is on the grass a G gain
the suns low down the sky Lo C rena..
the D frost gleams where the flowers have G been
But the Am heart beats on as warmly Bm now
as when the summer days were Am nigh
D oh... the G sun can never dip so C low
a D down affections cloudless G sky..
