Oak Creek Canyon is a very nice place, not too far north from Phoenix and quite beautiful contrast with the man-made California-like mass that fills the "valley" (berries along the stream late August & early spring when you'd most want to escape the desert heat anyway).

oh, and to no one in particular: am finding Robin Williamson's latest "New Fangled Tone" increasingly intriguing.
