My Rover 600 now has 173,000 miles on the clock, starts first time, every time and has been nothing but reliable, I'm off on holiday shortly and will drive 1500 in a week and aprt from checking the oil, water and tyre pressures will have no concerns about doing so. We also drive a Rover 25 which we bought from new, in 20,000 we have not had one iota of trouble from the mechanics of the car, a few niggling trim issues but nothing to affect the performance of the car.
On the 600 the can-belt MUST be changed at 120,000 or you will have trouble
