The places reek of the drugs and cleanup involves removing all textiles (carpet, drapes, upholstered items), washing down then painting over all of the walls, ceilings, etc., and clearing out the heating/AC system. It's expensive. Insurance sometimes covers it.

When they bust those places and kids are there invariably the kids are in a kind of stupor, because of chemicals range through the air. It's a selfish, nasty sort of business for children to grow up around.
