Gloat: I have 2 kids at university! Moan: They are costing me a fortune! Gloat: My non-academic son got his HND in Business Information Systems (one of only 4 that year to do so) and is now on his Information Systems degree. Moan: He never comes home for the weekend, and with my husband away as well I miss having someone to carry the heavy stuff. Gloat: He's now a qualified scuba diver. Moan: I'm not. Gloat: My older daughter, who IS academic, has started to study Pharmacy. Moan: She keeps coming back, and just when the house was STAYING clean and tidy! Gloat: Bought me a present because I was down after some sad news. Moan: She purloined my car to go off with her boyfriend, expected me to be ready to feed him as well, and then I found she'd helped herself to my portable cd player without asking. Gloat: Her younger sister is wonderful company. Likes museums and interesting stuff like that. Moan: She's just got her first boyfriend and this weekend I have my husband coming home, older daughter and possibly her boyfriend, younger daughter and her new boyfriend (who at the age of 14 is sending my 13 year old love poems!).
