Two of BJ's early LPs have been re-released on CD (Young Man's Blues/Live in Glasgow). I saw him live once in 1967 or 1968 in a pub in Leicester Square (??Blue Posts??). He was so "tired and emotional" that his introductions were unintelligible and he kept faling off his stool, but his playing, even in that state, was amazing. The sleeve notes to the CD referred to above tell how he got a Brownie McGhee tune down note perfect after watching him play it once. I preferred his solo work to the Pentangle days.
