There were originally some Tahitian men with the Pitcairn settlers.
I could not understand why they decided to leave with Christian and co. They were needed because many of the crew stayed on Tahiti (and were later hanged).

There was a violet episode that seems to have been over access to the women. None of the polynesian men survived.
