I love any kind of fresh fish but halibut cheeks are my favorite, followed by smoked sturgeon. I still get my fill of salmon in the summer and appreciate every bite. As a child, my favorite breakfast was smelt, fried potatoes and onions. I've been blessed to have had abundant seafood all of my life. Oysters and clams are a staple. I even caught an octopus in Puget Sound and ground the tentacles and made octopus burgers. I'm missing the cod. Still have the occasional Red Snapper, but the trusty old cod, is no longer 'always around for the jiggin' like in the old days.
