Sonnet 05/11/02                            DCCLXIII

Dryad dances with moon shadows: I find
My dreams chase after. Stars guide steps, this night:
Should dreams trace patterns from the sky, to bind
All future hope, or shall I hold heart tight?
Does mirror'd pool show image that I see,
Of soft concern, and sensual green eyes?
Can verse give view of what I hope might be,
That dreams are true, and thoughts of passion wise?
I seek her smile, and touch, and kiss, to hold
All time suspended. Can my desires trace
Her lips, and can my arms in love enfold
This forest muse? Does hope this vision grace?
May all her dreams be warm, and mornings bright:
Thought of her gives me hope, and my soul's light.
