I recently to an orchard to pick apples. When you get to the orchard, you have to go in the barn to get your buckets and find out which section of trees you can pick from on that day. So..we go into the barn and there was an 8x10 photograph of a mama bear and 5 cubs....all sitting nicely looking at the camera....taken very near that orchard!! A portrait photographer could not have posed them any nicer!

On a completely different note, we have a little log cabin vacation spot....very primative, no running water, just lots of trees and privacy. The latch on the door was handmade by a blacksmith and often it is difficult to latch. The people who owned the cabin beore us made it very clear that we were to make SURE the latch was closed all the way. It seems that one day they went to the cabin and walked in to find red footprints all over the cabin. They feared that someone had been killed and went looking about for someone who was injured, or worse. What they found was a container of cherry Kool-Aid Mix that a bear had come into the cabin and gotten into!!!!   It took a LONG time to get rid of those Kool-Aid stains and let me tell you...the door gets checked twice by all who visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
