the best poem ever is Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came by Robert Browning. And the books it spawned, by Stephen King... phenomenal... ... I recently got to see the largest collection of his artifacts at Baylor U, btw.. very nice. here's a linky to the poem, it's very good. ... That, and the highwayman by alfred noyes.
