1.I not only can milk a cow, but do it for a living, and I can serve them, and drive a tractor.

2.I've been half way round the world 22 times but haven't managed to go round the other half (yet!)

3. I was christened on a Royal Navy destroyer (HMS Cheviot) and had my name engraved on the bell.

4. I lived in Malta between the ages of 1 and 3 and spoke Maltese with the children I played with in the street but I can only remember two words now.

5.I've done a large number of pretty wild things many of which are unsuitable for general publication, especially if there's any chance that my Mum or my kids might read it!

7.I've slept rough without shelter or sleeping bag twice...once in Spain and once in the New Forest...the most uncomfortable night of my life.

9. I used to make most of my own clothes and still make all my own bread as well as yoghurt, peanut butter, ice-cream, jam, pickles, wine, liqueurs....

10.My 3x great uncle was transported to Van Diemen's Land at the age of 15 for stealing a hankie. He became a rich pillar of the community in Victoria.
