I stayed in Venice on my way to London in 1987.
I loved the place.
There is plenty of street music on the promenade along the beach, I guess you would have to call it folk music.
I stayed at the Network Hostel on corner of Lincoln Boulevarde & Venice Boulevarde.
It probably isn't there now.
