Subject: RE: SUNNYCAMP REPORT
iT was just absolutely wonderful. Great music, a just-right size group of people, around 18 and then a few more on Sunday as others were leaving...logistics are so easy with smaller groups and each voice or instrument in the mix is so important. I do love the huge megacamps and go when I can but there is also something to be said for a small one. It could have been called Sunnycamp, Thundercamp, Hailcamp, Mistycamp, you name it. But we ended up the day today with absolutely gorgeous weather..the crew was outside playing away by the water....

Add to my list of suggestions for having a good camp: have someone not going to the camp come in and do the final cleanup and let people just stay and play and sing till the last minute. It sure took a great burden off me because most of the people did come from afar and I knew they could not stay and help clean and I did not have the get up and go to do that much of it.

Also, try and pay by the beds you use per night rather than having to have a set price...these camps are up and down in registration, more than usual as some of us get a bit older etc...the only way Sunnycamp can lose a lot of me (as in me personally) is to way overbuy food...but we have arrangements with local food programs and food banks etc. and just whisk the food (even some opened) to various places...it sure makes cleanup go much faster too...I highly recommend this approach...
