1) Maybe it was indeed better to add the lyrics to this thread, because it is easier to find than the one which has n'il in its title rather than níl.
2) I started preparing the Róise na nAmhrán version for posting, and then I realised it wasn't necessary as Róise is apparently the main source of Aoife's version as posted by Áine.
Here, anyway, is some info. about Róise:

Liam Hart writes: Róise Bean Mhic Grianna - A Donegal singer who was recorded extensively. The RTE disc 'Songs of a Donegal Woman' has 25 tracks, including several very well known songs. The recordings were made when Róise was in her seventies, and her voice was perhaps not what it once was. Still, this recording is an invaluable link to the past; it is not surprising that many of Róise's songs have been recorded by younger Donegal singers.
