From this artical in the Seattle Post:

"Reeve died Sunday after developing a serious bloodstream infection from a bedsore, a common problem for paralyzed people. He went into cardiac arrest Saturday at his home in Pound Ridge, N.Y., then fell into a coma, dying the next day at a hospital. His wife, Dana, and other family members were with him."

I was always in awe of his honesty and positive outlook. The two things frequently don't go together in many people.

Playing Superman was really such a small thing compared to everything he's done since, but I guess it's pop culture, and is what mainstream America associates him with.
