In 1983 I marched with 800 women to Pine Gap, an american defence base near Uluru in Central Australia, and after a tussle with a policewoman pulled the bolt out of the gate so that it could be opened. 111 women broke through and entered the facility, before being arrested. They all gave the name Karen Silkwood.

14. i have sailed down the Ganges at dawn, watching dolphins jumping and playing in the holy city of Varanasi.

15. i have written several pantomimes in rhyme for children, and produced them at various festivals. They include a republican version of Cinderella (she marries the gardener), Snowed Under and the Seven Downsized Persons (but there were about twelve downsized persons acting as the dwarves, because they were job sharing) and Love at First Byte (a Vampire one).
