In a review of the CD I referred to above (The Maiden Voyage of Oceans Apart) in this week's Arizona Irish Music Society email newsletter the reviewer has this to say about the song, "'The "Man From Tralee' is a haunting song that tells the true story of man who was drowned while working on a fishing trawler. Steve Colby is on lead vocals with John Good
and Brid Dower on backup." I'm going to keep looking for more information and if you learn any more I hope you'll post it here.
