1967, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco (that's in California, on the west side of the pond): I had bought a large candy bar, with a bright foil wrapper, from school girls selling them for some fund raiser, eaten part, stuck the rest in my pocket, and strolled on in the park. All at once something yanked at my pants. A squirrel had hopped up on a short post along the walked, stood up on his hind legs, and yanked the candy bar out of my pocket.
