I faked something together last night, and sang it to the teens in the dark. They were all "Right, duh, another boring folksong, so we have to humor the old farts, *sigh*"
Each verse I got quieter,(tho I was afraid I'd lose 'em if I got slower -- they were all pretty hyper) and the room got quieter, and you could here the wind outside, and the penultumate verse I was whispering. (I sang the one in the database, Lady of Skin and Bone) And then I screamed and you should have seen those kids jump.
Hee hee hee.
Then they went down to the bonfire and the haunted barn (with the ankle grabber and the spagetti pit tunnel) Sleep well, kiddies.
