Well, here we are back in Maine after a wonderful wedding and honeymoon. I can't think of a nicer group of people with whom I could have chosen to spend that time.

From the moment we arrived on Friday I was made to feel so welcome by everyone I met and I now have major crushes on just about all of you.

Biggest highlight of the weekend for me was watching Kendall and Ed Trickett picking on the deck behind the dining hall. That was an hour and a half of pure magic as it marked a real turning point for the stubborn old b****r, from thinking that he was all washed up as a performer. As a result it did beat our reception into close second. (Kendall is a little concerned that I have categorised the two events in this way but I have to be honest and I think that you all will understand why)

On that event, I can't say how much it meant to both of us. Thanks to you all, and I will not mention any names here. You made the celebration of our marriage the most wonderful time. I love all of you for that. Later that evening Kendall told me that, at last, he understood that he was loved for himself and not just for the voice he had lost. He said that he could feel the emotion in that room and it made him see what I and others had been telling him for so long.

By the way ladies, he's not off limits just because he's married. If you want a hug, go ahead, he's got enough love for all of us.

I'm sure there's more I'll want to put in here but that will do for the moment. I love you all.
