At the Getaway, Bert, Dani, Moonchild, Cara, and I slipped away from everyone else and found an empty building in which to play and sing. We were joined after a brief time by Flawn Williams (who sang in a workshop as well as later on in performance with Uilleand). We did a simple sing-around for about an hour. The acoustics were wonderful and we were singing our lungs out because the building made us sound so good! We chatted between songs, discussing song histories, etc. and even had a bunch of live "thread drift". Nobody was perfect. We forgot words, sang in the wrong keys, played the wrong chords - it was great! It was one of the finest hours I have ever spent. Luckily, I taped the whole thing. I will be sending the tape to Max in the next few days. Maybe he will share some of it with the rest of you on the radio show.
