Why did Mike Harding have a ' TEXT ONLY ' vote to decide between playing a track by Fotheringay or Martin Carthy's new version of Famous Flower of Serving Men on last nights show ?

When he announced this, I told friends that Fotheringay would win and I was proved right, this was because Fotheringay were folk rock orientated and more younger people have mobile phones than my generation, so the outcome was guaranteed.

Why is he excluding some of his audience because they don't own a mobile phone.
