The humane US government is only doing its duty in splitting thid family up, by refusing permission for Jessica's father to join her and her mother Cindy, after the equally humane Austrralian government forced them to leave Australia because fourteen year old Jessica has a disability, and isn't an Australian citizen.

That really must make Uncle Sam proud to live in such a family-loving country.
