All my life I've had people approach me and ask me if I knew of Sandy Denny and the Fairport Convention...after gigs...on the street. I'm embarrassed to admit that at those times I did not. After someone came to a restaurant I worked at and brought pictures and Cd's of her for me to look at and listen to..I realized why I was being asked. The physical resemblance is so startling that even my own mother asked me when I had the pictures taken. To top it all...I came to know that my favorite song of all times "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" was penned by her. (I'm one of those people that really doesn't investigate what pleases me so I am often in the dark). I'm honoured and pleased now, when people mention our resemblance both in feature and in song.
