Too many responces to too many posts. A memory I'll cherish is Allan my son(at 22 no longer a kid) singing Kilkelly Ireland and my crying. All of his singing participation and Dick Swains gracious sharing leading the Sea Songs with Allan and Darriel. Just makes me want to sing and cry at hte same time and that doesn't work too well! There were too few kids here this year. I don't necessarily want them under foot but they do absorb the music just by being there. Allan shares one of his favorite memories of just walking from one cabin to another or trudging up the hill that there's music wafting through the air-all kinds of music-harps, hurdie gurdie guitar wash tubs...Kids need this so yes there's always room for a small one at the get a way- to my mind anyway. The McDonald's generous singing and Mary's singing Rise Up Mr. Rathbone in the singing the fishin workshop. Very special. And Geroge Stephens Black Fly at the Frozen North. And Sauls masterful harmonica playing, Alaska Mikes hugs and Dani's glow at Sunday nights concert. Rita's sharing the Silk Merchant Daughter with Elizabeth, and the few other stalwarts who weren't done with ballads. So beautiful. Thank you ~ Lorraine.
