A fellow down here in a suburb of Dallas had signs go missing (for Kerry/Edwards) several times. He finally set up a surveillance camera and caught two young guys from the high school cross-country team come racing through his yard, grab the signs, and keep heading down the street to the school. He followed them and confronted them and their coach. The guys had to apologize. They got off lucky--I think this falls under the heading of criminal mischief.
