I once thought that, but when it came to actually watching my adopted grandfather and later my father slide away, I couldn't bear it. Living those last few hours with them was more than I could do then, there is no way I could do it knowing it was the last. If a person doesn't know you love them, then you aren't telling them enough now, when they can understand. That's what I mean by just do it. Because one day, you won't be able to.
