People who "have a screw loose" make handy patsys and fall guys for far more cold-blooded and calculating people to toss to the prisons or the executioners after the job is done. They can often be used to play a bit part in the job, then take the whole blame for it. They may have no idea at the time why they are doing what they are doing. They also give the public someone to blame and direct attention away from the real controllers. It's a TV world out there, because you get most of your daily info from the TV and most of it is lies, half-truths, and damned lies. On a TV show you can expect to be provided with: a dramatic problem, a victim, a hero, a villain, and a dramatic resolution at the end of the episode where the villain is "brought to justice" or destroyed. They set everything up in that fashion. The simpler they can make it, the better, because it's easy to communicate a really dead simple idea...such as the simple idea that Iraq had WMD's and was a threat to the World. That idea was ludicrously unreal, but it was simple...simple enough to fool enough Americans in order to "get the job done".

Do you think these guys give a damn about any of the ordinary lives they destroy while playing geopolitics? They do not. They play it like they were playing a computer game, and they play to win, period. They win, the public loses. Oh, and the planet loses, too. Ultimately, in fact, everybody loses.
