When we lived in the mountains we had two dogs and two cats. We discovered that it was a meaningless exercise to give them individual names. A call for any one of them 'Here Pepper', 'Here Sibby', 'Here Ginger, or 'Here Irish' would get them 'all' arriving on the run. They weren't going to miss out on the goodies whoever was called.
