I'm a little ashamed of being so parental but my folksinging daughter is 17 and has a roomful of folk song contest ribbons, a list of concerts as long as your arm, a grant from the Library of Congress and a new CD that people seem to like.

Our part of the country is full of young traditional musicians with absolutely incredible talent. The Bluegrass group, The Cana Ramblers has a lead guitarist that is 11 who also handles some of the vocals, and the lead singer is 15. The group is popular, plays all over and they are good.
