Bright beacons to desire, your eyes lend light
Of stars in heavens: Will you share your dream,
To tell to one who thinks of you at night?
Can I know of the hopes that in eyes gleam?
Lend hope, dear one, that soul might find a course
To safe rest, far from wind and wave. Be kind
To one storm-tossed and lost: Be now the source
Of peaceful dreams and hope, to future find.
As steadfast as the stars, but near at hand
To hold my hope's attention and give sign:
You are my muse. My heart yours to command,
Will you allow me to your cares make mine?
How can I dream, and not your dreams desire?
I care not just for eyes, but muse entire.
