If the electoral college in your state goes to Bush, Amos, your vote will count for zero in terms of deciding the presidential race. But if your vote gets counted as a part of the popular vote (something no one can really be sure of), your vote will be counted as a part of the president's mandate, or lack of a mandate. Not that Bush will pay any attention to whether or not he as a mandate (if he gets reelected).
