Subject: RE: BS: Perfect Storm News Cycle for Kerry
Don't believe everything you hear and only half of what you read...and 1/10 of what you see on TV!!

Ron: I DO think and I support Bush. He may not be the best president we've ever had but then name which one (in recent history has been) but, at least he takes a position and supports it. This is what I like to see in a leader.

Be open minded and intelligent and look at where the world and our country has gone since 9/11. Our past policies of appeasement and the fear of pissing someone off got us to 9/11. We (USA) had a reputation of strength and independence but, sadly, that wained since Vietnam.

Mr. Bush in his response to Afghanistan and Iraq again showed the world that we're not to be f**ked with. Look at the results: an evil dictator has been removed from power (Hitler could have been removed before WWII got into full swing had it not been for Neville Chamberlain's policies of appeasement) and the potential connection to terrorist activities severed (anyone who believes that Hussein's regime did not support world terrorism has been asleep); Regardless of WMD's, follow the longer term results of the war in Iraq: Libya - has, finally, agreed to "disarm" and become "civil" (in fact Khadafi and his son have worked to secure release of hostages held in Iraq); North Korea - what have you heard from them since we took action in Afghanistan and Iraq?! Iran - even this hotbed is becoming more tractable.

Should we have waited for "world (read UN - read France, Germany, China, Russia) opinion" to agree with our "course of action"? How many times did Hussein break the sanctions that were applied by the UN with no retribution? How many times do you let your kids break the rules before taking disciplinary action? Are the above mentioned "allies" so omnipotent and infallible that we should cede our sovereignty to them? Look at the latest "Oil for Food" scandal that those countries are implicated in - is it any wonder that they didn't want to remove this "profitable" man and end his regime of death?

Domestic economy: Let's not bring the age old Republican vs. Democrat debate of "rich versus poor" into this. Sure the economy isn't that great but is that the fault of one man or a series of world events (9/11, Madrid bombing, increase in oil demand from 3rd world countries, strikes/unrest in Nigerian oilfields, hurricanes in our Gulf Coast, etc., etc.)that have combined to weaken the economies of many countries? Perhaps the Bush policies aren't the best but, what suggestions do you have? And remember - we're in an "election cycle" - Wall Street hates uncertainty and as our financial markets go, so goes our economy. Sometimes, Sh*t just happens (good or bad).

I could go on but...let me finish with a question: who would you rather have had in your corner when the bully was beating you up in the schoolyard? A lawyer (actually a pair of them) who are more concerned with making everyone happy or a man who will take a stand and stand up for his beliefs. And, oh by the way, I was just wondering, what did Mr. Kerry do with the money he and his wife saved from the "tax cut for the rich" that he received. I don't remember hearing that he refused that reduction in his taxes and paid it to the gov't. to help all of us "poor folks"!
