I doubt that anyone's inclined to believe our resident naysayer Garg or our a-nonny-mouse Guest, but just in case you have questions this is absolutely on the up-and-up. SongLinks II is a fabulous two-CD set that is being produced as a labor of love by my dear friend Martyn and his wife Danni Wyndham-Read, two of the most honest and best people you'll ever hope to meet. Martyn has a long catalog of solo recordings to his credit, made over decades of work. He has numerous collaborative CDs. And now he is undertaking Volume II of the SongLinks project. SongLinks I is one of the best-conceived and executed projects I've ever seen, with a set of liner notes (a book, really) to die for. A Mudcat-sponsored track of our own Jean Ritchie (KyTrad)on SongLinks II would be just perfect. Count me absolutely in. If I could sponsor a whole track by myself, I would, but bb's idea to have many hands make light work of the fundraising is a great one.
