Of course. I think you misunderstand, Curious. Joining as a member does not involved revealing your identity, and nor should it. The point is, it enables you to send and receive Personal Messages ("PM"s), and that can be a better way of exploring things at times. That was the reason I suggested that registering as a member might be a good idea.
