Paul...more on FEEBLES...the guy inside Heidi The Hippo is a pretty celebrated New Zealand Comic acotr, Danny Mulharon (spelling?). He used to accompany Peter often on their trips to LA back when he was trying to get a deal together and I'd say I got to know Danny almost as well if not better. I believe he co-wrote Feebles with Peter and Fran. We were entertained with many hours of FEEBLE stories about the making of and so on. Some of the most amusing stories wewre about what happened to the puppets AFTER the mvoie. Apparently Wobert the Hedgehog got very lonely being on display in some department store window and asked to go live with the Puppeteer as I recall. Now how exactly Wobert made that known is even funnier.

Peter gave one of the Winyards to Forry Ackerman (Forry even had a Cameo in BRAINDEAD) for his huge collection of SF and Horror props. About four or five years ago, it became necessarry for Forry to sell parts of his collection but I don't think Winyard has been purchased. I can find out. The Winyard he has is the one from the Nam Flashback scenes. He has "Young Winyard" who has yet to suffer the ravages of his later heroin addiction. I once asked to borrow him to have him show up as a surprise wedding guest for a FEEBLES fan and Forry agreed but I wound up not making the Wedding. C'et la vie. hhopefully Winyard and I will party in the future. Winyard is probably my fave character.

I did get to spend some quality time with The Zombie baby from BRAINDEAD aka DEADALIVE and have many photos to prove it. I sent one home to my mother as a photo postcard and it caused a huge stir in her local post-office! I wrote on the back: "Dear Mum....this is your new Grandson" and it was a photo of me with the Zombie toddler in my arms. The Mail Carriers wanted to keep it and in order to ransom it, I had to send them a duplicate! I forget what the baby's name is..my husband will know..I'll ask him. is it Cedric? No... that's the Punk Rock warthog from FEEBLES. We used to have a resin-kit of Cedric! Darn...can't recall. Cyril...?? Maybe it's Selwyn??

Peter was and most likely still is a very swell and wonderful guy. I enjoyed his company very much and its a shame he's so busy now that I'll never likely get to sit down for tea with him again. Fran is equally swell. Their success could not have happened to a nicer couple. May they continue to rake in gazillions of dollars for themselves and the NZ film commission.

Incidentally, my husband, Dave Pollison, works for Renaissance....the folks who brought you XENA and HERCULES. As a result, between my prior relationships and his, we know many people within New Zealand's TV/film crowd. My hubby did some second unit work on Xena as well. His company's latest movie to come out is THE GRUDGE. He's not much of a Folkie, but he's an exceedingly indulgent husband who puts up with all my Folkie whims and ways.

If you can't get FEEBLES in a reasonable amount of time, let me know, I am sure I have a spare copy floating about, maybe even a spare PAL copy. Now these were copies that had been given to me, so I don't know how they match up with the official releases and/or if they have more or less than the DVDs. I've had them for ages and they're just gathering dust. It'd not be taking money out of anybody's pocket to post you one of my tapes.

My only request is that you not dupe it for friends. Peter got burned very badly by giving out copies of BAD TASTE to people back in 1989 who then made hundreds of copies which quickly turned into thousands of copies and so on. As a result, when it did get released on video, it tanked. He made me swear not to let anybody copy my tape and I haven't. Since it's available in most markets, tell your pals to shell out, that's what I do! Given Peter's subsequent success in terms of sales, it's more the principle of the thing than any actaul need to prevent piracy.
