Mom,

I know I have been vehement, vociferous, insistent, sometimes raucous, adamant, irrepressible, ineluctable, loud and demanding in my remarks about the campaign. I promise to stop after today (unless the Republicans win). Being a gracious winner is in my breeding.

I apologize for all those whom I have bored, annoyed, upset, disturbed, harassed, crushed, beleaguered or irritated with my rhetoric. I can only plead that a very important political turn is ahead, and we must be the best we can be for it. That makes Kerry's election terribly important.
