Thread Name: Brand new folk show on the radio
Subject: RE: Brand new folk show on the radio
Hey guys,

Hope you enjoyed the show this week. As Fee said this was the first time we have had an interview so it was quite exciting. Make sure you listen in for a chance to win a copy of Hilary's new album, which is dead good.

There's a few errors to Fee's playlist, a think a product of bad handwriting and the fact we were using three different people's albums! So here's a corrected one:

Whapweasel – The Final Last Banana/Sleeve in the Cheese
from Relentless (Whapweasel)

FLOOR SPOT: Hilary James with Simon Mayor – Newcastle
from Laughing with the Moon (Acoustics)

Jake Thackray – Old Molly Metcalfe
from The Best of Jake Thackray (EMI Gold)

Cilla Fisher – Blue Bleezin' Blind Drunk
from Cilla Fisher and Artie Trezise – Cilla and Artie (Greentrax)

FLOOR SPOT: Hilary James with Simon Mayor – Andrew Lammie
from Laughing with the Moon (Acoustics)

Chris Leslie with Beryl Marriott - Eighteenth century English dances
from The Gift (Beautiful Jo)

Phil Beer– The Fireman's Song
from Hard Hats (HTD)

FLOOR SPOT: Hilary James and Simon Mayor – The Parrot Song (live)
From In Short (Acoustics)

And for Random Noises:

Delays – Lost in a Melody; Catherine Campbell – Improvements for Winter; Camel – Pressure Points; Mark Lanegan Band with PJ Harvey- Hit The City; Jim White – Static on the Radio; Le Tigre - Viz; Hilary James - Shenandoah; Kasabian – Processed Beats; Nick Drake –Northern Sky; Jamelia - Stop; Colum Sands and Sharon Aviv – Going Down to the Well with Maggie/Two Jugs.

Although I wish Jamelia had a song called 'Shop'! :)

So lets hear some feedback again! It's understandable that now we're up and running we wont be getting as much, but it is both really useful to hear your comments and suggestions and reassuring to know that people are listening and enjoying the show. Post here or email folkontheradio@hotmail.com

And don't forget that comp!

Chris
