It's a pretty small majority, DougR -- but I'll grant you this: at least Bush got the most votes this time. As you may recall, Gore won the popular vote last time, but Bush got appointed, er, elected President.

I'd be willing to bet that plenty of those who voted for BOTH candidates felt ambivalent, less than enthuiastic abut having to choose the "lesser of two evils."

Amos, I hope your hiatus isn't prompted by the election outcome. I ain't real happy about it, either, but I'm used to being on the losing side and I feel confident that life as we know it will continue. At my age, I've got it worked out that MOST of my life is unaffected by the politicians, almost all the time.
