Since Bassic's thread about the sun re-opening has been consigned to the BS section I thought that I'd better post something up here.

The Sun opened again last Thursday under a new landlord but the same pubco. Shaun (the new landlord)is keen to welcome in musicians again but want a week or two to settle in before he is "inundated". During the Tuesday session at Nellies this week we discussed whether or not to move back - most people favour the Sun as a venue but there is concern that, since the regime is the same (£2.15 a pint!!), we may end up in the same situation a year down the line. For the moment we are staying put in Nellies but will review in a week or two.

There has also been a suggestion that the Sunday sessions may roll round from Nellies to Monk's to Sun on different weeks - any comments on that? Anyway it is the Monk's this Sunday at 2pm.
