Doug, you are right, but since I am obviously ignorant about statistics, I see a 51/49% division as being pretty close, although in the scheme of things, that 2% counts for MILLIONS of votes. Of course, I could be wrong, because I can't count.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that polls are pretty much crap, no matter how you slice them. Pollsters frequently ask questions a certain way to ensure they get a certain answer. Or at least that's what I saw on the news once.

Anyhow, the fact of the matter is that Bush won. He won because more people voted for him than the other guy. More people voted for him than the other guy, because more people wanted him to be President, for whatever reason.

Now then... we can continue to harp about it, and foster divisiveness, or we can go forward and foster unity. The choice is ours.
