Recipe: Chopped Liver appetizer

1/2 lb chicken livers
1 medium onion, diced 2 tablespoons butter
1 hard boiled egg, peeled and chopped

saute livers in butter until just "done" - should still have touches of pink
chop coarsely
mix with remaining ingredients while still hot.
refrigerate, covered.
serve with crackers or cocktail breads.
