The Yanks aren't daft. No dafter than Canadians, Swedes, Finns, Brits, Germans, Iraqis, etc. We are all at the mercy of our governments. Hell, I know so many Americans that other than accents, I can tell 'em from most the Canadians I know. People's just people. Politicians--well, them's different. Don't really trust any of them right off, regardless of where they come from.
