Sonnet 29/04/03                                        DCCCXII

These dreams of distant dryad ease my heart
And offer hopes for future. Do I need
All I desire? I do not know, but start
Upon a path that goes where muse might lead.
Should I ask for all that I want, when age
Must give me pause? I would not wish her harm
Nor risk regrets: I fear I am not mage
To future know, if hopes will win her charm.
I wonder if muse wants my love? I know
Only my dreams: Should I not wish to learn
Hers, and muse please? From hopes, my desires flow:
Am I a fool, to for heart's thralldom yearn?
I offer my concern unasked: She seems
One I would prize, even without my dreams.
