To Sidmouth & Cropredy Fan. I echo your concern over the mud slinging & bickering on this website. As one of the organising team I would just like to say that until someone suggested I check out this site I was totally unaware of the mudslinging. As a group of enthusiasts we met in a positive & generally harmonious meeting with a collective will to move forward. Yes, we were disappointed over the inability of East Devon District Council to come up with the funding originally discussed. But we listened carefully to the Council Leader who gave up his time to come to the meeting & explain that although he couldn't give funding, offered all sorts of other help.As a Sidmouth council tax payer I can understand his position.

To you & any other former Sidmouth Festival Fans I say "Please don't think we are bickering amongst ourselves, we are united in our aim to put on a festival this year." It seems to me that the mudslinging is coming from people who aren't involved. I dont know why. Possibly they have their own agenda.

But I assure you all that we will be still working forward to put on something to bring people back to our town at the beginning of August
