Frankly, I don't know how I would react to my country being overwhelmed by foreign forces. However, if my country's government became hostile to its citizenry I suspect that a great many of our citizens would turn guerilla, rather than allow themselves or their loved ones to be be taken away.

You may have heard that in WWII, there were a number of European countries, overrun by the Nazis, where cells of people joined forces against them. Many of them lost their lives. I have always thought them heroic.
