Fair rose of Apalachin, share your thought
With one who offers heart. I hope to know
The source of your sweet smile: Might you hopes show,
That I'd have guide to what my soul has sought?
Dear one, share vision for future: You've taught
This heart enough to fill my dreams: Now lend
Knowledge of what I might to my muse send
To make eyes twinkle, and have desire wrought.
May I ask for your time? You know I seek
To touch both soul and lips, but do I dream
    Too much, or far too little? Give some sign.
    All I can say will just my dreams refine:
What should I hope, when all my futures seem
To beg that you will to my passions speak?
